What we do
What Lockout Help Does and Does Not Do
Lockout assistance does one thing. It gets you back into a vehicle you are locked out of. The keys are inside, the fob died, or the key is in your hand but the door will not open. We come to the car and help you get in without damage.
It does not make keys. If your keys are lost, broken off, or the fob needs programming, that is a dealer or locksmith job. We tell you that on the call so you are not waiting on a fix we cannot do.
The most expensive lockout is the one you try to solve yourself. A hanger down the window channel or a rock through the glass turns a locked door into a repair bill.

Which lockout is yours
Keys Inside, Dead Fob, or Key Will Not Turn
Keys locked inside
On the seat, in the ignition, or in the trunk. The door locked behind you. This is the lockout we handle most directly.
Fob stopped answering
Most fobs hide a metal key, and most doors have a key slot under a cap on the handle. We talk you through it.
Key will not turn
A locked steering wheel can hold the ignition. A worn key or a tired lock can bind the door. Do not force it.
Keys lost or broken
No key exists to get in with. A dealer or locksmith can cut and program one. We say so and point you there.

What Helps When You Call
Year, make, and model
Door designs, lock types, and sensors differ by car. The model tells us what getting in involves.
Where the keys are
On the seat, in the trunk, or lost. Lost keys usually mean a locksmith, and we say so up front.
ID and proof the vehicle is yours
A license plus the registration, insurance card, or rental agreement. A practical habit, not a hurdle.
Where the car is
Address, hotel name, garage level, or a nearby business.

A child or a pet locked in a car in Florida heat is an emergency. Call 911 first, then us.
If it is a lost key or a fob that needs programming, we say so on the call and point you to the right help.
How it works
From Locked Out to Back Inside
- 01
Stay with the car and call
Tell us the vehicle, where the keys are, and where you are. Do not pry, pick, or break anything meanwhile.
- 02
We confirm it is a lockout
Keys inside gets an honest ETA depending on technician availability. Lost keys get a referral instead.
- 03
We come to the vehicle
Have your ID and proof of ownership ready. The technician works on the door, not through the glass.
- 04
You are back in and moving
If a dead fob or a worn key caused it, we tell you what to fix so it does not happen again.
Decide
Force It, Lockout Help, or a Locksmith?
Three ways back into the car, and what each one leaves you with afterward.
| Criteria | Force the door or window | Lockout assistance | Dealer or locksmith |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best when | Only if someone inside is in danger and help is not close | The keys exist and are inside, or the door will not open with the key you have | The keys are lost, broken, or the fob needs programming |
| What it leaves behind | Broken glass, a bent door frame, or damaged wiring inside the door | An open door and the car as it was | A new key or fob, and the car as it was |
| What you pay for | The glass or door repair, plus a lockout anyway if forcing fails | The trip to you and the time at the door | The key, the programming, and their trip or your visit |

Know before you call
Why Forcing It Costs More
Why forcing a door or window costs more
A car door is not a hollow panel. Inside it are the window motor, the lock actuator, the rods that run the handle, and often a side impact sensor. A hanger pushed down the window channel can bend a rod, scratch the glass, or cut a wire.
Prying at the door gap bends the frame and breaks the paint, and a bent frame leaks afterward. Breaking a window means glass in the seat plus a glass shop visit. The lockout itself is the small problem. Keep it small.
When the fob is the problem
- Most fobs contain a metal emergency key. Look for a small release on the fob body
- Many doors hide the key slot under a cap on the driver's handle. The cap pops off with the emergency key
- Fob batteries are replaceable coin cells. A fob that has been losing range for weeks was the warning
When the key will not turn
In the ignition, the steering lock is the usual cause. Turn the wheel a little in each direction while turning the key, and it often releases. In the door, a worn key or a lock unused for years can bind. A key broken off in the lock is a locksmith job.
Where we help, hours, and pricing
Driveways, hotel and theme park area lots, workplaces, gas stations, and highway shoulders where it is safe to stop. Published hours are on the contact page, and after-hours calls are answered depending on technician availability. We explain pricing before any work begins.
What we can confirm today, and what to ask on the call
- Jump start for a dead battery, lockout assistance, and gas fueling with enough fuel to reach the pump.
- Vehicles the site lists: cars, SUVs, pickups, vans, light trucks, and trailers, depending on tire size and availability.
- Pricing is explained before work begins, and quotes are estimates until the technician inspects the vehicle.
- Payment is due at the time of service, and a cancellation after dispatch may carry a trip fee.

Ask on the call:
- What the technician verifies before opening a locked vehicle
- Battery replacement on site when a jump start does not hold
- Diesel delivery and how much fuel the van carries
