What a Tesla driver should know
A Tesla Flat Is Different in Four Ways
A Tesla flat is different in ways that decide the plan. There is usually no spare. The tires on many models carry a foam liner for cabin noise. The car lifts only at four marked points, and a jack set anywhere else can damage the battery pack.
Tesla also offers its own help. Many owners can request mobile service or roadside help through the app. We do not speak for Tesla's policies. Check the app and the owner's manual, then compare that with what we can do where you sit.
Emergency Mobile Tire Repair has not published a Tesla-specific service. Our part is plain: call with the model, the tire size, and what happened. We tell you whether a repair or replacement is realistic at the car, depending on the tire, the damage, equipment, and technician availability. Pricing is explained before any work begins.

What decides the plan
Four Tesla Details That Matter
No spare, by design
Most Tesla models ship without a spare or a jack. A flat means the repair kit, mobile repair or replacement, or a tow.
The tire repair kit
Tesla sells an inflator with a sealant canister. It is for small tread punctures and is temporary. If you used it, tell us.
Foam-lined tires
Many Tesla tires carry a foam noise liner. An inside repair means cutting the foam back around the puncture. Not every setup allows it.
Four lift points, nothing else
The pack spans the floor. Jack pads seat in the lift points and keep the jack off the pack housing.
Your options
Four Ways Forward With a Flat Tesla
Repair at the car
A tread puncture within U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association repair limits, where foam and the tire maker's rules allow.
Learn moreReplacement where you sit
A tire in the same size and load rating has to be sourced. Replacement labor where available.

Tesla offers its own options through the app. Check what applies to your car and compare.
A tow to a shop
The right call when the spot is unsafe, no tire is available in time, or the car needs a shop lift.

Repair availability depends on tire condition, damage location, tire size, and safety. If the tire cannot be safely repaired, we help with the next best option.
How it works
From Your Call to Back on the Road
- 01
Call with the model and tire size
Read the size off the sidewall or send a photo. Mention the repair kit if you used it and jack pads if you have them.
- 02
We compare your options
Repair at the car, a replacement where available, Tesla's own service, or a tow. We tell you which fits before dispatching.
- 03
We inspect before lifting
Puncture location and size, whether the tire was driven flat, and whether sealant was used decide the next step.
- 04
Repair or replace, then torque and pressure
A repairable puncture is fixed when the tire and equipment allow. Otherwise we help with the replacement route. Pressure is set to the placard before you drive.

The details
What Decides a Tesla Tire Job
No spare, and what the repair kit does
Most Tesla models have no spare and no jack. Tesla sells a tire repair kit, an inflator with a canister of sealant. The sealant can close a small tread puncture long enough to reach help. It does not fix sidewall damage, and it coats the inside of the tire. Some tire makers will not repair a tire after sealant. Use the kit to reach a safe spot, and tell us you used it.
Foam-lined tires and plug and patch repairs
Many Tesla tires carry acoustic foam glued inside the tread to cut road noise. For a proper repair, the tire comes off the wheel, the foam is cut away around the puncture, and a combination plug and patch goes on from the inside. Several tire makers publish guidance allowing this. Whether it can happen at the car depends on the tire, the damage, and the technician's equipment. Ask on the call.
Jack pads and lift points
Teslas lift at four points under the sills, near each wheel. The battery pack sits between them, and the pack housing is not a jack point. Many owners carry jack pads, round pucks that seat in the lift point and keep the jack off the sill and the pack. If you have them, say so.
Tesla's own mobile service and roadside options
Tesla offers mobile service and roadside options for many owners through the app. Coverage, cost, and what the program does for a tire vary by model, age, and location, and we do not speak for any of it. Check the app before you decide. If Tesla's option is the better call, we say so.
What to tell us
- Which Tesla model and year
- The tire size, or a photo of the sidewall
- What happened, and whether the car was driven on the flat
- Whether you used the repair kit or have jack pads
- Where you are and whether the spot is safe to work in
Some Tesla jobs are outside what a light-duty mobile unit can do. We tell you on the phone, not after a trip.

Tesla tire questions
Tesla Tire Questions
Can you repair a Tesla tire with foam inside?
Sometimes. The foam is cut back around the puncture and the tire is repaired from the inside, when the damage is in the tread and the tire maker's rules allow it. Ask on the call.
I used the Tesla repair kit. Can the tire still be fixed?
Maybe. Sealant coats the inside of the tire, and some tire makers will not repair a tire after it. Tell us you used it and we talk through repair or replacement.
Should I drive on a flat tire?
No. A Tesla is heavy, and a short distance on a flat can ruin the tire and the wheel. Pull over safely, put on hazards, and call us.
